AZERTAC, TASS implement another exchange program VIDEO

AZERTAC and Russian TASS have embarked on another program that will see the two news agencies exchange experience. TASS Deputy head of the Administrative Department Olga Miranskaya and head of International Relations Department Olga Chertkova visited AZERTAC to discuss the details of the program with Chairman of the Board Aslan Aslanov.
The sides explored the current state of partnership, areas of interaction in international organizations as well as bilateral cooperation prospects.
The agencies signed an agreement on cooperation 15 years ago, and have successfully implemented a number of information and experience exchange programs ever since.
The sides noted the role of yearly exchange programs in developing relations between AZERTAC and TASS. Creative, technical and marketing experts have been involved in the programs. The agencies also maintain fruitful collaboration in international organizations.
AZERTAC chaired News Agencies World Congress from 2016 to June 2019. An initiative of TASS, the Congress was established in 2014. AZERTAC is now chairing the Organization of Asia-Pacific News Agencies (OANA). Both agencies are members of the OANA Executive Committee.
AZERTAC and TASS are bound by close historical ties. One of the oldest news agencies in the post-Soviet region, TASS celebrated its 115th anniversary this year, while AZERTAC will mark its centennial next March.
Under the program, representatives of TASS will meet their colleagues from AZERTAC and share ideas on various issues.
AZERTAC carries out exchange programs with news agencies of many countries, focusing on the implementation of advanced technologies, improvement of news-room experience, social networks and mobile technologies.
