Ukrainian expert: Tough sanctions should be imposed for so-called "elections" in Nagorno-Karabakh
Kiev, September 13, AZERTAC
A Ukrainian expert has urged the imposition of tough sanctions after so-called “elections” were held in the Armenia-occupied Nagorno-Karabakh region of Azerbaijan. Alexander Ohrimenko, who heads Ukrainian Analytical Center, refuted the so-called “self-government elections” conducted by the separatist regime in Nagorno-Karabakh as illegal. “Similar "elections" were held in Nagorno-Karabakh and Crimea. No international organization recognized these so-called “elections”. Tough sanctions should be applied. Only in this case the occupied territories can be returned,” he added.
