Baku hosts seventh meeting of Joint Azerbaijan-Russia Demarcation Commission

The seventh meeting of the Joint Commission on demarcation of the state border between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Russian Federation was held in Baku.
In accordance with the Treaty on the state border between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Russian Federation signed in Baku on September 3, 2010, issues related to the continuation of the demarcation of the state border between the two countries were discussed at the meeting.
The sides adopted a working plan for the installation of border signs on the high mountainous section of the state border line. In accordance with the signed Minutes of the meeting, from July to October of this year, the working group of the Joint Commission will identify the places and secure the border signs at the high mountainous section, as well as carry out the relevant demarcation works at the forest area, bridges and checkpoints.
The meeting was held in the spirit of good-neighborliness and constructive dialogue.
The next meeting of the Joint Commission is planned to be held on the territory of the Russian Federation. The dates of the meeting will be agreed through diplomatic channels.
