St Petersburg hosts 9th International Winners Forum

Dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the liberation of Leningrad from the Nazi siege during the WW II, the 9th International Winners Forum 'The Great Victory Gained by Unity' has been held at the Boris Yeltsin Presidential Library in St Petersburg, Russia.
Co-organized by the Eurasian Research Foundation, North-South Political Science Center and the CIS Intergovernmental Humanitarian Cooperation Fund, the event brought together more than 250 participants from CIS countries.
Azerbaijan was represented at the event by a large delegation led by deputy head of the Department of Public and Political Affairs of the Presidential Administration Arastun Mehdiyev.
The congratulatory message of Russian President Vladimir Putin to the forum participants was read out.
Acting Governor of St Petersburg Alexander Beglov, Special Representative of the Russian President for International Cultural Cooperation, Co-Chairman of the Board of the Intergovernmental Foundation for Educational, Scientific and Cultural Cooperation of the CIS Mikhail Shvydkoy, Azerbaijani Ambassador to Russia Polad Bulbuloglu and others highlighted the unity and courage demonstrated by the peoples of the Soviet Union during the Great Patriotic War.
The forum continued with thematic sessions.
