A total of 73,000 tourists from Saudi Arabia visited Azerbaijan in 2018, said Finance Minister Samir Sharifov at the 5th meeting of Azerbaijan-Saudi Arabia Joint Commission.
The minister emphasized that the number of Saudi tourists visiting the country increased from 7,463 in 2016 and 33,273 in 2017.
Sharifov also hailed the expansion of air communication between Azerbaijan and Saudi Arabia, saying this boosts tourism and business in both countries.
