Baku, February 19, AZERTAC The Asian Development Bank (ADB) is ready to provide technical and financial support for renewable energy projects in Azerbaijan, said Director of the Energy Division of the Bank Ashok Bhargava as he met with Minister of Energy of Azerbaijan Parviz Shahbazov. Ashok Bhargava, who is in Baku to attend the Fifth Meeting of the Southern Gas Corridor (SGC) Advisory Council, said that the ADB is interested in developing cooperation with Azerbaijan on renewable energy sources. Highlighting energy cooperation between Azerbaijan and the Asian Development Bank, Parviz Shahbazov commended the Bank for supporting the country`s energy sector. The minister stressed the importance of studying international experience in the field of renewable energy. Minister Shahbazov noted that foreign companies are interested in cooperation with Azerbaijan in the renewable energy sector. The sides also exchanged views on cooperation prospects.
