Azerbaijan, Turkey discuss development of cooperation in defense industry

Azerbaijan and Turkey discussed cooperation in defense industry at the meeting which was organized by the Turkish Defense Industry Executive Committee in Ankara.
The event was held in accordance with the provisions of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Government of the Republic of Turkey on cooperation in the defense industry, signed in 2018.
The delegation of Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Defense Industry, as well as heads of leading Turkish defense industry companies Aselsan, Roketsan, Ayesaş, TAI, Çukurova and others attended the meeting.
The sides expressed satisfaction with the level of existing cooperation between Azerbaijan and Turkey in the defense industry and agreed on the implementation of a number of new cooperation projects.
At the end of the meeting the sides signed a protocol on the outcome of the meeting.
During the visit, Azerbaijani delegation also met with Chairman of the Turkish Defense Industry Committee Ismail Demir.
