Baku, December 26, AZERTACPresident of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and first lady Mehriban Aliyeva have attended the inauguration of a newly-built highway linking Baku ring road with Sharifzade Street as well as Yasamal residential complex of the State Housing Construction Agency (MIDA).Chairman of the Board of Directors of Azerbaijan Highway State Agency Saleh Mammadov informed the head of state of the work carried out on the newly-built road.The construction of the highway started this February. The length of the four-lane road is 1310m, while its width is 18.5m. The head of state cut the ribbon symbolizing the opening of the road. X X X President Ilham Aliyev and first lady Mehriban Aliyeva then attended the opening of Yasamal residential complex of the State Housing Construction Agency.Chairman of the Board of Directors of the State Housing Development Agency Sadig Sadigov informed the head of state of the work done. The Yasamal residential complex occupies a total area of 11.6 hectares.Under the planned project, 29 residential buildings were constructed. Of them 12 are twelve-storey, while 17 are nine-storey buildings. The buildings feature a total of 1843 apartments. X X X The secondary school No161 was also constructed in the territory of the complex.The head of state and first lady viewed conditions created here.Minister of Education Jeyhun Bayramov informed that the 960-seat school features 36 classrooms. All classrooms are supplied with necessary teaching equipment. X X X President Ilham Aliyev and first lady Mehriban Aliyeva then familiarized themselves with conditions created at the 240-seat kindergarten built in the territory of the complex.Extensive landscaping work was carried out, and green areas were laid out in the area. Various amusement facilities were installed in the yard of the kindergarten. X X X The head of state and his wife then attended the groundbreaking ceremony of the new residential complex, which will occupy a total area of 15.4 hectares. President Ilham Aliyev laid a foundation stone for the new residential complex.
