Border Guard commander: Iranian law-enforcement bodies attach great importance to deepening cooperation with Azerbaijani counterparts

“The Iranian law-enforcement bodies attach great importance to deepening cooperation with relevant authorities of Azerbaijan,” said Islamic Republic of Iran Border Guard Commander Qasem Rezaee as he met with Azerbaijan’s Minister of Internal Affairs Ramil Usubov.
Qasem Rezaee noted that ensuring peace and stability in both countries against a background of instability, terrorism and extremism, as well as the exchange of information and experience in combating transnational organized crime will have a positive impact on security in the region.
Minister Usubov hailed the historical friendly and neighborly relations between Azerbaijan and Iran. He recalled his recent visit to Iran and the meetings he held with the high-ranking officials of Iran, including with Qasem Rezaee.
The Azerbaijani minister underlined the importance of continuing joint efforts to ensure peace and security in both countries in connection with an increase in the number of citizens' visits, as well as the development of tourism between the two countries in recent years.
Iranian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Javad Jahangirzadeh also attended the meeting.
