Baku, October 11, AZERTAC Baku Higher Oil School (BHOS) hosted a concert featuring Baku Chamber Orchestra of Baku Academy of Music named after Uzeyir Hajibayli at the BHOS Congress Hall. The Orchestra’s Artistic Director is Rector of the Academy, People’s Artist Farhad Badalbeyli, and its director is Vice Rector of the Baku Academy of Music, People’ Artist Yegana Akhundova. Under the guidance of Honored Artist Fuad Ibrahimov, the musicians including nine soloists and sixteen performers played immortal musical compositions by Fikret Amirov, Gara Garayev, Tofig Guliyev, Muslim Magomayev, Niyazi and Agshin Alizada.The audience, which consisted of the Higher School’s teachers, students and administrative staff members, expressed their appreciation with a long applause. Speaking at the gathering, BHOS Rector Elmar Gasimov extended his gratitude to the Orchestra’s director, Vice Rector of the Baku Academy of Music, Professor Yegana Akhundova for the concert and cooperation. Baku Chamber Orchestra was founded in 2011. The orchestra is comprised of young talented musicians many of whom are winners of different international contests.
