Armenian military units fire on civilians in Aghdam’s Chiragli village

Military units of the Armenian armed forces have fired on employees of Aghdam Mechanical Irrigation Department, who were carrying out repair work in an artesian well in Chiragli village, Aghdam district. The workers were able to immediately flee the area and stop the work. The sub artesian device and pipes were damaged as a result of the firing.
Head of Aghdam Mechanical Irrigation Department Hafiz Azimzade said that the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) was immediately informed about the incident. “After the ICRC’s intervention the firing was stopped. Only after that the repair work continued with the participation of ICRC employees. The artesian well was restored,” Azimzade said.
