Azerbaijan ranks 36th for quality of road infrastructure in World Economic Forum's report

Azerbaijan is ranked 36th for the quality of roads infrastructure among 137 countries in the Global Competitiveness Index 2017-2018 published by the World Economic Forum (WEF).
WEF ranked 137 countries based on World Opinion Survey (2017–2018) recording the quality experience (extensiveness and condition) of road infrastructure on a scale of 1 to 7.
As one of the countries with the best roads, UAE tops the list (6.4), followed by Singapore (6.3). Switzerland (6.3) completes the trio of leaders with the best roads.
The top ten rankings include Hong Kong (6.2), the Netherlands (6.1), Japan (6.1), France (6), Portugal (6), Austria (6) and US (5.7).
The quality of roads of Azerbaijan, Lithuania and Estonia, which rank 36th, 37th and 38th respectively, are the best among the former USSR countries.
Mauritania, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, and Haiti have the lowest scores in road infrastructure.
