108th session of UN World Tourism Organization Executive Council kicks off in Spanish city of San Sebastian

The 108th session of the Executive Council of the UN World Tourism Organization (WTO) has kicked off in the Spanish city of San Sebastian.
Azerbaijan`s delegation at the event is led by Ambassador to the Kingdom of Spain, permanent representative to the UNWTO Anar Maharramov.
The event brings together ministers, members of the Executive Council of the UNWTO, representatives of the Spanish and Basque governments.
Zurab Pololikashvili, Secretary-General of the World Tourism Organization, Spanish Minister of Energy, Tourism and Digital Agenda Alvaro Nadal, Secretary of State for Tourism Matilde Pastora Asian Gonzalez and current chairman of the organization's Executive Council Argentine Minister of Tourism Gustavo Santos addressed the opening ceremony.
The session will feature discussion on various directions of tourism sector, presentation of relevant reports of the organization's program and budget committees. It will also see presentation of the new strategies and priorities of the UNWTO.
