Swedish ambassador to Azerbaijan Ingrid Tersman, who is on a visit in the Nackhivan Autonomous Republic, has hailed the region’s accomplishments in economic, education, energy and all other areas.
In an interview with AZERTAC`s Nakhchivan bureau, the ambassador noted that the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic enjoys a beautiful nature, has friendly and hospitable people, and that its ancient city has great tourism potential.
“The purpose of my visit is to get acquainted with the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic and its production opportunities. I had a number of meetings in the Autonomous Republic, I visited several educational and cultural institutions. During my trip, I saw great progress in this region’s economy, education, energy and other areas,” the ambassador said.
Ambassador Tersman noted that the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic has a strong potential to continue these achievements in the future. She said the Swedish government is currently implementing a scholarship program for Azerbaijani students, adding that graduates and students from Nakhchivan can also benefit from the scholarship program and study in Sweden.
“We will also consider possible cooperation opportunities between the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic and Sweden, and implement joint projects in the field of theater, music and demonstrationof films in future,” she added.
