Representatives of the American Jewish Committee have highly appreciated tolerance environment in Azerbaijan as they met with Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov. The delegation was led by President of the American Jewish Committee John Shapiro.
According to the press service of the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry, Mammadyarov noted that Azerbaijan is a place where representatives of different cultures and religions live together in peace and harmony. He said multiculturalism and tolerance are the moral wealth of the Azerbaijani people.
Speaking about several global events aimed at promoting interreligious and intercultural dialogue, the minister emphasized the importance of the International Humanitarian Forum and Intercultural Dialogue Forum held on the initiative of Azerbaijan.
They hailed the development of cooperation between Azerbaijan and Israel as well as with the American Jewish Committee and other Jewish organizations.
