Baku, January 11, AZERTAC
"In 2017, a total of 1,300 kilometers of highways were built. This is also a very good figure," said President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev as he addressed a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers dedicated to the results of socioeconomic development of 2017 and objectives for the future.
The head of state noted that new roads have been built to more than 500 villages.
"At the beginning of the year, we stated our plans to implement a project conventionally called 40 rural roads, but the scope of each project is very wide. During the year, we allocated additional funds for the creation of the road infrastructure, so new and beautiful roads have been built to more than 500 villages," President Ilham Aliyev said.
