Japanese music band performs in Baku

Baku, June 29, AZERTAC 

The Japanese “Va-Liqa”, music band has performed in Baku.
Addressing the event, ambassador of Japan to the country Teruyuki Katori and head of Khatai Executive Authority Razim Mammadov highlighted the importance of the concert. They stressed developing friendly relations and cooperation between Azerbaijan and Japan across the last years. The speakers said both countries are interested in expanding relations, adding such cultural events contribute to further fostering cultural ties.
The group "Va-Liqa", headed by producer Takata Terutoshi promotes Japanese culture in the world, performing dances from the scenes of the theater "Kabuki" and "No" introducing viewers to the folk music "Mignot" in such national instruments as "vadaiko" (Japanese drums), "Shamisen" (stringed musical instrument) and other genres of Japanese traditional art.
To date, the group has given more than 300 concerts around the world.
