World’s top physicists gather in Baku

Top physicists from all corners of the world have gathered in Baku for the Asia-Pacific Conference and Workshop on Quantum Information Science.
The event is co-organized by the Institute of Physics of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS), ANAS Presidium, and Science Development Fund under the President of Azerbaijan.
In his remarks, academic secretary of ANAS Rasim Aliguliyev highlighted the importance of the event in terms of discussing future prospects of quantum information science.
Acting academic secretary of ANAS Division on Physics, Mathematics and Technical Sciences Nazim Mammadov spoke of the history of quantum information science.
The conference will hear nearly 50 lectures from local and foreign scientists and experts.
The conference has previously been held in Singapore, Republic of Korea, Australia, China, Israel, Malaysia, Taiwan and New Zealand.
