Second Azerbaijan Science Festival kicks off

Second Azerbaijan Science Festival has today opened at Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS).
The event is organized by ANAS in partnership with the Ministry of Education, Ministry of Communications and High Technologies, Baku City Executive Authority, Knowledge Fund under the Azerbaijani President, Science Development Fund under the President, US Embassy and Moscow State University.
Addressing the opening ceremony, president of ANAS, academician Akif Alizade emphasized the importance of the event to the country. He said it would contribute to the promotion of scientific achievements.
The festival demonstrates achievements of Azerbaijani scientists. It will hear speeches from young scientists from different fields. The festival will also feature workshops and interactive exhibitions, excursions, competitions, reports on new scientific advances, science shows, educational films.
The event will also promote new scientific technologies and innovative achievements.
