President of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences visits Czech Republic

President of the of Azerbaijani National Academy of Sciences (ANAS), academician Akif Alizade who is on a visit in the Czech Republic has met here with Pavel Belobradek, Deputy Prime Minister for Science, Research and Innovation.
The meeting focused on the expansion of relations in the field of science and education, as well as prospects of cooperation between educational institutions and research centers of the two countries.
The sides also emphasized the importance of applying for grant projects, exchange of researchers, realization of mutual visits, as well as sharing best practices in the field of science, within the cooperation between educational institutions of both countries.
Ambassador of Azerbaijan to the Czech Republic Farid Shafiyev attended the meeting.
Within the visit to the Czech Republic, the delegation led by the president of ANAS, also met with Vladimír Mareček and Jan Šafanda, Vice-Presidents of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic. During the meeting the sides discussed issues of cooperation between the relevant agencies of the two countries.
